New member here and I live on 7 acres in Pekin IN. I bought my land for cash and built my home with cash I had saved as well. Now that I am broke and also now disabled, I need to ensure that I live well within my means. While I raised 100s of RIRs years ago, I am looking to start small with just perhaps 12 to 24 hens and a few roosters. I am wanting docile birds that lay XL to jumbo brown eggs and welcome any advice y'all might have.
