Hi!

I'm slowly converting by backyard into a self sustaining farm as much as I can in the confines of a small suburban house in Denver. I've had chickens for about two years (silkies and two crested polish) and have recently grown my flock to 8 ladies strong.

I'm an architect and work from home, which gives me lots of chances to check on things and till soil during my coffee breaks.

I've got two lazy dogs, and I'm thinking of introducing a hive.

I'm looking forward to gleaning as much advice as I can from this forum!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I would LOVE to work from home! However, as my profile states, I AM easily distracted by chickens! I probably wouldn't get a lot of work done.
It's hard, especially now that it is spring - there's so much to do out there!
I have to only allow myself a quick jaunt out in the yard after completing specific tasks. Otherwise...yeah, it's all over.
