Hi everyone! I am new to chickens! I just picked up 4 from the local garden and feed store. I got 2 red sex links and 2 black copper marans. They are so adorable and I love their tiny little peeps! I am really looking forward to trying some fresh eggs! Some of my other hobbies include caring for my retired horse and taking him on leisurely walks since he had a serious suspensory injury that he never recovered from. I also knit, paint, and draw in my free time. I also own 4 dogs, 2 barn cats, and tons of fish and salt water creatures in our 380 gallon system. The dogs are of Chinese crested breed and were rescues the cats were also rescues. I am studying organic chemistry at Emory University. And lastly, I found BYC through my chicken research! I love that there is a place to ask people about all those questions that I can't seem to find answers to by googling. I love that there is a community of people who all are excited about chicken keeping. Im so excited!
