Hello! I'm here to learn all I can about chickens- breeds, coops, behavior, etc with the goal of having my own small flock in the next year or two! I am really excited, but I know almost nothing so I look forward to looking around on here and learning a lot!

You may want to post on your state thread or just lurk, to learn about the area, what breeds others are raising, how to get through weather extremes etc. Plus you may even find chicken folk close enough to know in person. Welcome to BYC.
