Hi everyone! My name is Sath and I am new to BackYard chickens.
My wife and I have had chickens for around 1 and a half years now and are still learning something new every day! We have eight chickens, most of which are hybrids. Though we do have a Buff Sussex and a few Pekins.
My favourite part of having chickens is getting to see how intelligent and unique each of their personalities are. It's also fascinating seeing how they self organise and proactively explore and own their surroundings. The free eggs are also a bonus haha.
My other hobbies include reading, boxing, writing fiction and model making. We also have four pet Cockatiels who we keep in a special aviary.
I found out about this website through the Backyard Chickens Subreddit.I was advised that this is a great place to interact with caring and knowledgeable fellow chicken lovers. So I look I forward to speaking with all of you going forward and sharing memories of each others flocks!
