We live in Lorane Or - have a small flock of egg layers - mostly Japanese black tail and Delaware. We also got a pair of Narragansett turkeys this year. We have a hobby farm - lost of Nigerian Dwarf milk goats (19) and 2 bucks, a few hair sheep for our own meat supply. I use my milk for milk, cheese, yogurt and anything else milk related. Also make goat milk soap.
We need to learn more about turkeys as things didn't work out this spring with nesting and her eggs now aren't fertile. I am guessing they have a distinct breeding time?
