In you put "winterizing the coop" in the Search Forums tool (at the top of the page, right under the tabs), you'll see a lot of posts/information on that topic. Winterizing is a very common concern among poultry-keepers, especially around this time of year.

Many a BYCer has been taken by the marketing of the "Pre-fab coop" industry... Are you using horizontal or vertical nipples? Best of luck getting ready for winter... As Kiki suggested if you can give us pics we might have ideas.

ETA: or it may even turn out that someone bought the same coop as you and figured it out. Never know on this forum what will turn up.
