I don't know about you, but when I started out with chickens, I didn't know what questions to ask until after something went wrong.

I suggest going to the Learning Center and reading a lot. Wish I had this place when I started out. I just picked up Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens, which was helpful, but I think BYC is better!
