If you plan to let your ducks and chickens out together please know that a drake(male)duck can kill a female chicken(hen) trying to breed her. Duck anatomy is much different than that of a rooster.

Thank you. Yes, we did know this and are building a separate duck house. We’re hoping we don’t have any drakes, but I’m sure we do. Time will tell. We have a farm standing by to take them if we do. I guess we could keep one but it would be nice if we didn’t (so they could run around with the chickens.
