I bought a coop but seem like it might be a bit small it's good enough for two but I think the need more room. I'm glad it's working out I felt the same way also. Thank so much for the tips I have not checked for past butts yet but sour crop on the other hand yes at least I suspect that its sour crop.
The minimum rule of thumb is about 2 to 3 square feet per chicken inside the chicken coop, and 8 to 10 square feet per chickenin an outside run. That’s a rule of thumb, some go bigger. We went along those lines and as they get older we will let them free range.

I did Put sand in their run, and pine pellets in their sleeping areas to help with clean up while they are young. I clean Out their bedding every other day and refresh their food and water twice a day. I have 15 In that particular coop, and two in our love shack coop (Ayam Cemani, babies)

We started our farm six months ago with a pig, that we rescued and the rest is history. 😂. It’s been an amazing journey.

Sorry but those numbers are too small.
The general consensus on floor space in the coop is 4 sq ft per bird and the run is a very bare minimum of 10 sq ft. I always recommend 15 as 10 is:
Just
Not
ENOUGH!!
