I need to recheck the flyer. I saw it in passing, but third Sunday would be this Sun., and it think it said 12-3pm at the Bloomfield Ace Hardware. I'm in Durango today, but maybe I can check tomorrow.

How are your chickees growing? You should be starting to tell boy from girl.

A hawk got 4 of the babies and several of my hens- including both lavender hens I got from you!!! GRRR!!! He no longer exists, and we are going ot put netting over the pen. The trouble is that it's so big of an area.

All of the other chicks and chickens are doing great, I think it looks like one Lav and one black are roosters. We shall see.

Good Morning New Mexico.I have to play musical brooders this morning Chicks go out of house to horse trough in garage Chicks in horse trough go to big trough. so its a hands on look at every one today About 55 chicks.

1st time I have gotten ANY mailed eggs to hatch...2 so far...a new breed for me... some black copper marans

I am having a war of the broodies! My last little Frizzle hen is broody and had 8 little eggs, Screech's mommy stole them so I took them back, then ended up splitting them. Now one of the bigger girls, a tree chicken, is broody and wants those eggs so moved out of the tree into their little house to steal those eggs. One got broken darn it, so to keep this from happening again I am giving the tree hen the eggs collected today in the little house and moving the Frizzle and other witch into their own crates in the small kennel so they are safe from the bigger girls. Those other hens better not get the idea!

3 have hatched and 3 are still in the process... wow those maran eggs are HARD eggs!

Anymore thoughts on a swap WriterofWords? I was thinking having one maybe the last sunday of the month or something at a feed store near us would be great. We could also maybe try and get another going on in las cruces on another day of the month.
