Good afternoon my lovely New Mexico peeps

How is everyone today??
I read on here that Alamogordo (I think) is supposed to get a TSC any idea on when that's going to happen and if it's a for sure thing? I miss TSC's and Southern States, I don't mind the small scale feed stores here but I miss the selection of a big chain!

Roswell has one. Although, I think they are done with chicks for the year. Fwiw.

I need a prius so I can start making more drives

Do you live in Roswell? I'm trying to figure out from your location line where you're at and I'm confusing myself lol

Not birds as in chickens, birds as in actual birds...they are so loud and live in trees DIRECTLY next to the garden area. I don't know what they are exactly but they are small chirpy grey and blackish. I was thinking row covers but where do I find those? All I have close is WalMart. Mostly I really want to try and do this as 'green' as possible. I strive to recycle/reuse as much as possible. I'm open to lots of suggestions!

Plastic baggies tied to something so they will blow in the wind. I had to plant more than once because the doves were eating my seeds- they would actually dig up the pinto beans! I got a fake garden owl, but it seems like the baggies making noise and flapping in the wind have helped the most. Good luck!

I am just hoping the freeze tonight doesn't kill everything out there.....

One point to add- seems the doves are getting used to where the bags are, so it's time to move them.

I have the one group of doves nesting/living in the neigbor's tree, which is right over part of my garden. Frustrating, I know!
