I'm not competing but my friend is, she has a Standard Poodle that is just fantastic! I'll have either Bella the Blue Heeler, or Flying Angel my Border Collie with me though. They are in training.

I set them all at once and they hatched out from first pip to the last straggler in about 24 hours. Out of 30 eggs there were 2 that died without pipping and 2 that died in the first 6-8 hours and 1 that was an early quitter. The larger chicks I set along with them and moved at lockdown to another incubator. I set 3 incubators in a 10 day time period and never wrote down dates...I will NEVER do that again!

I think she meant how many days did the Seramas incubate before they hatched?

My coworker and I are the only white chicks at work- she found out that I do all that for my hubby, and told me "Don't you knwo what color you are? White girls don't do that kind of thing! Stop before you give us ALL a bad reputation!!!" lol

LOL I didn't keep track and WHO KNOWS how long they incubated...my other serama hatches all took 19 days, so I'll assume they did too. When it got into the third week I just stopped turning them and took out the larger eggs.

I am NOT doing that again!

Ohhhhh I love border collies. I grew up with one. Our neighbor has one that has adopted us and comes for regular visits. She has even decided that she is the "Grand Protector" of my flock when they are roaming the yard. I think she loves having a purpose and enjoys the "work" And all she asks for as payment is some playtime with a stick... (she loves snow balls too, but I prefer to pretend she doesnt...) I would love to raise another!
