New \o.o/

Just turned the eggs for the first time today i waited a bit cuz i adjusted the temp and i let them have a few hours better temp cuz it went into like the high 98 close to 99 while i was asleep candled the light egg that basically looks like a coturnix egg coloring but button. O.O i love what i saw i think XD ill candle one or two and take a couple pictures later when i turn them again. Also hating opening it to turn since temp can get iffy and i have to mess with it a lot to fix with small adjustments so o.o whats best advice from experience on how many times a day do i turn my button quail eggs.

For chickens, and quail should be the same, two is a minimum and 4 is better.

Turning is nearly an all or nothing kind of thing so it will not make much of a difference after 4

Okay so i promised pics next time i turned the eggs and here they are this is my tiny blue celadon button quail egg the only celadon i got in my order which was a pleasant surprise ^^ this was the 3rd turn and now that i got the temps perfect i think that will be the last turn for today. The first two pics are of my holding it on my candler with quail rubber attachment im holding it the right way up but leaned slightly cuz i think i can see the yoke and some stuff with it when i move it the next two are of it just standing straight up on it and the last one which was very hard to do with two hands and still manage to take the pic is of me holding the egg straight up and the Chandler gently touching the top of the egg at a angel so i can have you experienced quail and button quail and egg ppl tell me if it looks good or not o.o example that's the air sack at top right and it looks good and blah blah XD brains a lil tired right now lol:fl

Just turned the eggs a while ago and i got to thinking maybe some one on here would like the hack i found out for this cheapy 7 egg incubator im useing found out one side likes to be lower but u can't really raise it too much since the other sides hotter mostly by less then 2 degrees but can be 3-4 some times i have swapped them multible times so i know its not the humidity/thermometer things fault so i took a wash cloth folded it and set it next to the cold side on the counter by it and then pushed it right next to it so it catches some of the heat from the machine that's made to generate heat lol and keep it warmer in that spot and some how its working here is a pic hope this helps some one its rare but i do this to the opposite sides some times cuz after i turn eggs i have to spent 10 mins getting the temp right again since it seems like machine tries to go up .4 by its self after u put the lid back on so i have to lower it to were temps right then gradually raise it with the machine cooling off
