New Octagon Coop Construction Underway - Progress

I've been working too hard to post.

I have finished the painting, installed frames around the 4 windows, built vent covers and have 2 of those up, made the chicken door and got that installed.

I have wood to make a batten door for human use. Still a lot to do, so I'm going back out there to do it.

I'm sorry to hear that. You are doing an amazing job regardless and I am in awe of the power of woman! You go girl!!!

Are you going to put trim along the edges where the siding meets on the corners? This is where moisture and very small critters can get in. The moisture part is somewhat of a concern. It only has to be strips of flashing and can be painted to match. The only reason I say this is I have a patio room that used to be a green house. I hired a couple of fellas to do the construction but they didnt cover the corners where the wood meets. Its been a couple of years and I can see where the wood is changing because of moisture right on the corners. And I live in an area where we only get about seven inches of rain per year.

Corners will be covered. Haven't gotten to it yet, but the flashing is in my garage.

Lots of little details to get to once the people door is on. I built it, just have to get it down there and on the coop.

Never done construction before, but I labor under the delusion that I can do anything.

Door is built and paint is drying. Time to try to remove some of the paint off my skin now.
