last Thursday we brought home a pair of India Blue Peafowl, One and a half year old India Blue male and female. They look healthy, acted healthy and the breeder we bought them from had a very nice and clean operation. He was very helpful throughout the whole process and all of his birds looked very healthy and happy. We made several trips before finally deciding to purchase. Here is my question/problem : They have been sitting on their roosting perch since we turned them loose from their travel boxes. They won't go eat, go outside, drink water or do anything. Same spot - that's it. They have a very nice 12'x12' tough shed for their inside space and a large opening to go out into their large outside area. Both areas offer food and water. We did our homework, setting everything up the way they like it, getting advice from the breeder as we went along. I can't call him for help, because he is on vacation for the next two weeks. He did say that they were just dewormed a few weeks ago. Is this normal behavior for new birds ? Are they just scared? Is there anyway to help them? Should I just let them be? How long can they go without eating? Worried and confused. Some advice is badly needed.
