New Pet Coming Home Today! (Betta Fish Thread!)

I started with the one where you either pinch a pellet of food or have it grasped between tweezers and you hold it right over (like 1 millimetre if possible) over the surface of the water and they'll jump to get it........................very fun trick. You can start holding the food higher and higher above the water and it's thrilling when they leap and grab the food :D

Thank you! I'll start with that then.

Thank you guys!
Do any of you have Bettas?

Is it just me, or do fish have personalities too?

1. He gets excited when I start looking at him closely.
2. He knows when I'm about to give him food.
3. He knows exactly where the food gets dropped in and swims to that place to wait for it.

There are other things I'm forgetting. He's so cute! :love
My sister has a betta fish, Saturn. He's in a 3.5 gallon tank. When he hears the little plastic food latch opening, he swims under it to wait for food. He has a little saloon in there. He usually swims in through the back, and then pauses to look around when coming out the front, just like a daunty cowboy surveying the road. And he often just floats there and stares suspiciously at the thermometer. So, yes, they do have personalities. I think I have a picture.

I have a betta. His name is Mooki, and he lives in a 5 gallon tank with a heater, a filter, and lots of live plants. He also has a plastic leaf that sticks to the glass and he sleeps on it every night.
He knows when it's feeding time, and he always starts begging when it's time for dinner.
He always swims up to the glass to greet me when I walk into the room. He also flares at me if I get too close to his bubble nest.
I've had him for over a year now, and I really love him. He has so much personality.
