new pigeons!!

so happy! i got 2 pigeons. i plan on just letting them live on my property as pets, not any special purpose. any tips for training, such as coming when called?

Food is a great way to bond with your birds and get them used to eating near and eventually on you. The more confident they are around you, the more likely they are to fly to you when you call or rattle a food tub.

Shiny things are also another thing that can lure an otherwise stubborn pigeon to fly onto your arm or shoulder.

what is a good treat food? i have tried raisins and peanuts, but they dont like them.

I just use Squabble’s regular seed mix, but Squabble seems to prefer the black sunflower seeds the most.

thank you! my 2 pigeons are brother and sister, but boy are they different! the boy (chestnut) is so much bigger but they are eating the same. he is also much more friendly. he really doesn't mind being picked up. but his sister Birchwood is the flightiest pigeon ever. her wings are 2 inches longer, and she is 3/4 his size. they were born at the same day
