Rose landed neatly on her feet. She brushed off the skirt of her dress with one sweeping hand and looked up at Kaydar " Rosemary. Or Rose" She huffed

Rose turned her gaze to Gardenia with a slight nod "It's fine, just don't pick me up like that again" She glanced at Kaydar with a mischievous glimmer in her eyes

Keeper stepped up to Gardenia's side. "It's not safe for anyone to travel alone at night in this forest, the Elves are always looking for a new conquest." He said in his soft voice.

<Speaking of Elves, do you two mind if Skylur makes an unwanted appearance?>

((Sounds like fun, lol *evil laugh*))

Gar nodded, deciding that Sterling was a creature of few words. He turned, dashing after Tollia, hoping that he could catch up and trusting the other two to follow.

Florence threw herself up onto her horse and kicked the horse knowing it would be quicker if she rode. Sterling running beside her not even breaking a sweat.

Kaydar made no reaction to the strike, not feeling it or not caring about it even he wasn't sure which. What he did react to was the sound of Gardenia's voice. Her timid, frightened voice that reminded him so much of his beloved Ellayn. She had spoken to him in the same tone when they had first met. The anger left him and he grunted, letting the woman role from his shoulder and onto the ground. "My business or not to begin with, I have now made it my own. Who are you?" His voice was still stern, but it lacked the rough growl that it had before.

Skylur and his band of Elves tromped up the forest road. He grumbled loudly as he pounced down out of his saddle, his boots thudding loudly against the road. He walked up to his second in command, grasping his leather vest and throwing him to the ground. "What kind of an idiot cannot tell a firefly from a Pixie? We have spent hours chasing nothing but bugs! You were supposed to be my tracker, my second in command! Maybe you can serve me better by cleaning up the horses' dung. Until you can learn to do the job I ask of you!"

Kaydar grunted, not sure what the Lass' strange look had meant. He jumped down out of the saddle, landing heavily beside her. He stuck out his gloved hand towards her, bowing his head. "There are many dangers in these woods, I mistook you for one of them, Lady Rosemary. Where are your guards? They shouldn't have been so far behind as for me to be able to capture you." He glanced at her fine dress, wondering which Noble house she was from, the colors alone should have told him. But he never had been one for manners of court. Suddenly his back stiffened and he jerked his head to the side, his wings tensing and a snarl building in his throat. "Please tell me those are your people that approach us, milady."

"I am out on my own" Rose answered simply, not wasting her breath on longer sentences. She followed his gaze to the road, where she saw the group of creatures heading toward them

Tollia heard the others catching up, Gar's familiar steps, heavy and quick. The hooves of a horse, a strange shuffling sound that had to be the Dragon. She closed her eyes, gripping tighter to the reigns of the two horses that she had just stolen. A merchant lay behind her, out cold. She had come upon him easily enough, making swift work of the haughty Elf. He groaned and she kicked his side. How she hated Elves. As the others approached she walked out from behind the stone wall that surrounded Sayark, offering Gar the smaller of the two horses. He scowled at her for a moment and she couldn't help but giggle. The Dwarf in him could not stand horses, not only because he loathed being off of the ground. But because horses could not stand the smell of Dwarves. The short gelding snorted in disgust, trying to pull away from him. He growled and the horse looked at him with wide eyes, still pulling on the reigns to try and get away. Tollia patted him on the neck and distracted him with an apple taken from the moaning Elf's body. Gar took the moment to scramble into the ornate saddle. "Why are they with you?" Her voice was curious, there was no anger to her tone. She looked at the young Dragon, still wondering how he could change his form. "He offered to be our tracker, he said that he could... sniff.... out the golden Dragon."

"That was not what I was hoping you would say, Milady." He snarled, stepping in front of the them. His hands splayed wide and his wings twitching beneath his cloak.

Skylur groaned. "We are having no luck with the road, we will head towards the river. Maybe we will have more luck there." He climbed back into his saddle and headed towards the river, his band in tow beneath the trees.

Keeper watched the creatures closely, knowing how very dangerous they really were. Even from this distance he could recognize them as his former captors. As they were disappearing into the woods he saw what was left of Gardenia's cage. He strained his eyes to see who was pulling the wheeled cage, who had replaced him? He could tell that it was a Centaur, young like he was, except... It was... a female, a Centress.

Florence pulled her horse to a sliding stop as they neared the others, Sterling stopping beside her barely breathing hard. He glanced at the two animals focusing on the short gelding as Gar scrambled up the horses back. Florence frowned looking at the elf on the ground she gestured towards him in a questioning manner in all honesty not really caring about him just being nosey.
