See update for more info... My 9ish month old sex-link, who is my leader of the flock, is just not right. Yesterday afternoon she was lethargic and had a wee bit of poop stuck under her vent. Today she didn't leave the henhouse, has been lethargic, has even more poop stuck to the feathers around her vent. Upon using the search feature on google, I found BYC!!! This is my new favourite site, might I throw in. So... I found info on the crop and it being full. Well, Betty's crop is empty. I felt around and there seems to be some cracked corn? in it? But then again, I don't know if that is normal. I also felt around her vent for the possibility of a stuck egg and didn't feel anything externally. I did the ever lovely vaseline on a glove trick and didn't feel anything in there (then again, I'm not sure what I should be really feeling in there). I got my finger in until it got tight so I assumed that meant stop Okay... so... I put her in isolation. Gave her some water with apple cider vinegar in it because it can't hurt anything. Does anyone have any ideas on what's wrong? I can take a picture of her chicken tushy if that may help. Or an idea on what I can do to help my poor girl? ***UPDATE*** I still have Betty in isolation. I can see the poop that she has made. Some of her poops are very very red (i'm assuming blood mixed in). Some of her poops are partially normal coloured with red smears in it. I don't know what is wrong with her??? Please, any information or ideas!!!! Thanks so much!! Thanks my new best friends!!!
