New project. Looking for helpers

Hi, A friend and I have become involved in a nonprofit organization that gets blankets to kids in need of comfort, due to many reasons. I am looking for anyone that would be willing to make and donate a child safe blanket of any kind from 3'x3' to twin size bed. Can be sewn, crocheted, knitted, quilted, fleece, entirely up to you. Anyone else out there interested in helping the kids? Please check out the website and see what a good cause it is. I really love the thought of giving kids some comfort after going through whatever tough stuff they are going through.

i just wanted to say i was happy to see this post.

about a year ago my daughter was hospitalized for 5 days for asthma induced nemonia(sp?), we didn't know she even had asthma. at our hospital we have the linus project and she recieved a gorgous leopard/brown fleece tied blanket someone had hadmade. these charities r wonderful, that blanket and the stuffed animals they made for her helped so much while she was sick to cheer her and ment the world to her!! she is now almost 5 and still sleeps everynight with her blanky and animals noone is allowed to touch her stuff but her,lol. anyway thank you to all who make such wonderful gifts for these children, it helps them to love something when they r really sick and means so much to them and as a parent it means the world to us also someone took the time and love to make them.

Wow silkie. Thank you. I think it is a great program and am so glad to hear from someone who has directly benefited from a program like this. Kids and animals are what means the most in this world to me and I thought this was a great way to help kids. Animals, well I do what I can, my own personal menagerie may not be much but its a start.
