i have been following this thread and drooling so i am going to start to learn how to quilt!! another obsession!!! lol

Kathy, I got the box! Girl, I thought you were sending me one border fabric, not a huge box of some of the most gorgeous fabric I've ever seen! Omigosh, thank you!

BTW, the P.O. doesn't only abuse boxes with hatching eggs in them, as you can see below. The fabric wasn't harmed, though.

Good morning all
I too am a quilter -- will have to get some pictures posted -- just finished a "Boy Scout" quilt for my 10yr old grandson Christmas giflt.
Here is my 2C worth -- With the colors you have choosen, I like the first one best -- give lots of contrast and make the stars stand out -- unless you want the stars all one color then go with #2 --
The hardest part of quilting for me is picking out fabric --

Welcome to BYC, Rita! I have completed the top of the quilt already and will be making the backing today. Was going to be a Road to Oklahoma block all over, but I had a glitch (think I was misreading one of my quilting rulers

) and had to switch gears in the middle, however, I think I like how it turned out better. Another happy accident in my life, LOL. Here is the quilt top in natural light and the last pic is the huge stash of fabric kathyinmo sent me, yet again!

This box of fabric has a ton of projects swimming around in my head now! They are just gorgeous! And one is a wide quilt backing, too. Thanks so, so much, Kathy.

WOW, thank goodness for duck (duct) tape! I'm so glad it arrived. I didn't really pick out coordinating fabrics per say. I just glabbed a few and tucked them in. I hope you can use them, as all they do is collect dust here.

Actually, the Road to Oklahoma pattern is very easy. Also, Sawtooth Star, just a million of them. Here is a fabulous site with ratings for difficulty.
