New Quail Babies!!

I just got 6 of these little boogers!! they are so cute! I first posted this in "raising baby chicks" sorry for the ddouble post! But any way to the point!

Im in need of some pointers, how to, ect! These aint no chicken!

What kind of quail did you get, and how many? How old are they?

i got 6 bobwhite chicks that are 1 week old!~

I just hatched some bobwhites! What do you want to know?

when do they start laying? do they hatch their own young or bator only?

i have a small coop on the side of my out building that was used when my chicken girls were little that i was going to totally inclose with a yard! would that be ok? and any other quail must haves nest boxes, coop needs ect.
thanks so much i feel like im asking for a ton of info!

They're supposed to start laying somewhere around 8 weeks, and I think it depends on your birds as to whether they incubate their own eggs. I've been setting mine aside and setting them in my incubator, just in case.

I raise mine on wire - no nest boxes. I had a bowl of sand in there for them, but they make such a mess that I had to give that up. They're flighty, so keep an eye on them!
