That's why he's so docile then, once they hit two they get a touch on the big boy side.
As for quality, he's pet class to very low breeder class
Looks good, but color is a bit off, comb is too small with no points
carragae is wrong, should be up right, tail up, head back wings down like in chickenzoos drawing.
Dont get me wrong,
just judging him as you asked.
he is beautiful and I love them all, he's just not a show winner. Very possible with a good hen you could still get some very nice chicks out of him though.
As for another thing that instantly caught my eye. He is sick.
They shouldnt look that beat down in their carriage, and after the description you gave of his way of acting, there is something wrong with him for sure. Could just be parasites.
I'd worm him asap, doubt the other folks ever did. If he's not a lot perkier in a few days, then you really need to get him on a broad spectrum antibiotic for a week or so.
D'anvers in general are very active birds, so when one is walking slow, and moping around, that's a sure fire sign of something being wrong.
Get that fixed and his carriage may well improve too.
here's a few pics of what you want them to get to look like, these still arent perfect, but you can tell they feel a lot better for their stance
