I don't have a picture this moment, but around her eyes is all dried blood, her comb is slightly bloody, but not damaged. She had a perfectly fun time running away from me while trying to catch her, and if he injuries weren't clearly visible, I wouldn't have been able to tell she was hurt...
My Roo is a silkie and hasn't caused a fuss with any other hens, the first time they attacked each other, I was right there and able to step in. Peg (my hen) definitely started the fight but Bucky/Scorch (my roo) definitely seemed stronger...
This fight was probably really early this morning when I was supervising, most nights he's in with the ducks because I don't want this to happen, but he learned how to get out of the duck run.

She should be just fine he was probably only trying to mate with her but was to ruff and thats not the type of rooster you need you may need to keep him seperated from the rest or put them in the pen with your hens if you want him with them if you decide to put him with the others make sure you watch him for a little bit.

What do you mean when you say he's not the type of roo I need?
Definitely not trying to mate, I've seen him try. He's a little smaller than my hens (which was planned), and they all insist their in charge, so he only tries to mount them when they're in a nesting box. Peg is the only hen he's squared off with before.

It sounds like your hen may be quite a fiesty girl. The fight may have been to discover pecking order placement, so hopefully it won't happen again.

If she's acting okay I think it's alright to assume she'll be fine as long as infection doesn't set in. If you can, put some antibacterial substances on her injuries. If she has other injuries aside from the face I would suggest Blue Coat. Blue Coat covers the injured areas in a blue, antibacterial spray to keep infection from setting in. The blue will also keep the other chickens from pecking her injuries, since they are attracted to red. Don't use the coat on her face because it will get in her eyes.

Even if you don't need Blue Coat for her injuries, it's still a good idea to have it for the future. I use my Blue Coat all the time for big or little injuries or bald spots.
