Yesterday, I brought home a friends rooster that was supposed to be a pullet. I confess to breaking the isolation rules and putting him with the rest of them right away.
When I put him with everyone else, he immideatly tried to breed a hen. However, Houdini would not stand for that, and shoved him off.
The new rooster stood there for a moment, then herded 6 RIR pullets away from the rest, and started giving them treats.
It was so cute! So now those 6 pullets follow the new one around, and Houdini has the hens.
