New Roo!!

I just picked up this pretty boy for free tonight. He lived in town and the neighborhood folks were calling the police because he was being too loud! I believe he is a silver laced Wyandotte. I was also told he is only about 6 months old. Feel free to leave a comment.

I know you've only had him for a day, but what's his temperament like? I have a young wyandotte cockerel who's really awesome, but I've heard mixed reviews of Wyandotte roos in general. Interested to hear how he behaves.

Believe it or not I have him in an area with 5 week old pullets, about 14 of them. He doesn't seem to mind and he even moves out of their way when they walk by. I've been checking on him about every hour or so since it's his first night at his new home.

That's how my little roo is. We have some younger pullets and all the older pullets peck and chase them, but not him. I've even seen him break up a chase before.
