new rooster how long till fertil eggs???

we just added a young (7 months) rooster to the hens how long should we wait to try hatching some eggs. he was mating one hen within five min. of release.

I'd wait til day after tomrrow if you added him today. I've read to wait til the second egg laid after the roo starts mating.

If they're anything like some of my roos, the wait should be about 5 minutes!
