New scratch I'd like to try....

Scratch has corn in it, which is a carbohydrate. Corn with livestock is used to add fat to them. Protein adds meat and carbs add fat. Carbs should be fed in moderation to any stock, to maintain a healthy balance between meat and fat. Especially for processing stock or egg production.

I use scratch as a treat. They might get 2 cups a day, they can forage out in the yard or they get layer feed. Anything else I use to keep them near the coop and as treats
