Thanks. I thought 3 of my first hatching were frizzled silkies, because when their little wing feathers began to develop, they were curled back towards the head. They are now 13 weeks old, & they mainly look like the other silkies, with just their wing feathers a bit curled. I've seen pics of Sizzles & mine don't look as "extreme" as those Sizzles. Posting up some pics. Opal (white beauty, who I am really hoping is a girl ... no crowing yet .... but I suspect she is a he). Opal had curled wing feathers as a small chick .... Other pic shows 3 of the other chicks in that hatching ..... the first black chick is Lulu (definitely a girl) ... She had curly wing feathers as a small chick, & they still curl a bit. Otherwise she just looks like a gorgeous little Silkie with a pompom crest. The other black one (on the right side) is Raven, & he is a Silkie. The middle one is one of the two partridge chicks with single comb instead of walnut comb .... but otherwise just looks like a Silkie ... however both of those partridge boys with the single combs have amber eyes rather than black. I have other pics that show the frizzled bits much better, but they are all on my husband's iPad. When I get the chance, I will post some up. So what do you think? Do they look like Sizzles?I believe sizzle is silkie + frizzle, and frizzled silkies are just frizzled, no silkie gene. I could be wrong though.
