New Sparrow Fledgling?

I woke up and my mom told me my friends dad gave us a bird fledgling they found. It's perfectly fine, and can even fly a little bit. I have no idea what breed he is but we so far believe he is a sparrow. He is a healthy little fledgling and is very cute. He is also quite vocal xD He is getting quite used to my hand. I stuck it in there slowly so he would learn not to be scared of it and he jumped on my hand :3 could you guys tell me what kind of bird he is? And possibly give me some tips..

House Finch or Purple Finch. Any hanging flower baskets about? Should be able to survive as a fledling. Parents will bring food down to when you are out of sight.
