New to babies with feathers

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.

Welcome to the forum! Since your new, I would recommend you take a look at our articles, here's a link for it https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/categories/learning-center.11/ . Also, if I could give you one tip, since you've already lost one duck, always supervise interactions between your dogs and your fowl, prey drive can kick in at any minute. Hope to see you around, and potentially some photos of your flock as well :welcome

Thanks everyone, I lost my Swedish boy last night and I don't know why. The other ducks and chickens seem fine and I cleaned and rebedded their entire area. Is there something safe to use in case any leftover scraps or foreign objects that can cause things like botulism in the area they are in?

So many reasons a chicken dies, usually there is some sort of symptom before hand, even the smallest of thing. I am so sorry for your loss. :hugs
