New to Back Yard Chickens

New to Back Yard Chickens. Also new to raising layer hens and enjoying them immensely. Hoping to learn a lot about feed, care, health, good coops, and happy girls. i have 5 girls and one is fluffed up today. She is 3 years old. Had the vet look at her and was told that she has either pneumonia or heart failure and is on antibiotics in her water now. Was wondering if this might also be a possible worm issue although she has had no lose stools. She is up on her feet and walking and drinking her antibiotic water but I haven't seen her eat and she is still fluffed up. The vet said her condition is guarded. Does anybody know of anything else I can do for her?

I'm really sorry to hear about your hen.. and I can't say I do, I'm sure a vet that's actually seen the hen would have way better judgement than me anyways. Out of curiosity how long have you been keeping chickens and what breeds?
