New to Brahmas, first roo ever?

I’d watch Gypsy…I get roo vibes from that one my most favorite and chill rooster is a Brahma. He had a short teenage biting phase but once his hormones settled he mellowed a lot. He’s my 10 yr olds favorite boy and he will sit in her lap as long as she wants He’s also very gentle to the ladies!

I just bought a 2nd smaller coop just in case I need separate accommodations. I love Gypsy, always the first to jump onto my shoulder!!! Tiny's wattles are growing and darkening and Flo has some wattles growing and so does Gertie! They are 8 weeks today. I will update pics next week. I feel certainly by 9-10 weeks I should see some red combs and wattles!

Sorry for this late response, I'm new to this app and still learning how to use it! I used Hoover's Hatchery online. It was such a great experience. You do need to call and request which vaccines you want or they arrive unvaccinated. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and the chicks are beautiful and healthy! I can't believe only 3 males out of 85!!!!!!! That is unheard of I love this breed now and want to add more brahmas already!!! If there are surprise roos, I'll need more ladies hahaha

I have a Brahma hen, and I thought she was a roo at first. I think your Brahma is a pullet.

Thanks! I hope so... I just modified my setup to accommodate a couple roos if I have to!

I agree with everyone else, she looks like a pullet. She doesn't have any comb development and the saddle feathers (from what I can see) look pretty round.

13 weeks and I am still as confused about Tiny as ever. Last week she looked like a pullet, this week looks like saddle feathers are growing! I'm driving myself bonkers. Updated pics
