Hi All!
I have a few questions about Roosters.
We live in a rural area with about 24 acres of land and not many neighbors.
Someone dumped a rooster on our property and luckily we were able to catch him before he got eaten by something.
He is a very nice Rooster, so we decided to keep him and name him Doodle.
So a few of my questions that I'm hoping to get help with...
He seems to have some really thick scabs on his back, could this be from being pecked at?
He also has this red knobby looking thing on his tail area, I have no clue what it is?
He is missing a bunch of feathers on his back, will they grow back?
Will he be happy without a hen? We have 4 Welsh Harlequin Ducks. 3 females and 1 male.
I just want Doodle to have a happy rest of his life, now that he is with us!
Thank you for any help and feedback.
