Hello everyone!

I am new to BYC but not to chicken raising, Have had chickens for years and took a break for about 10 years now back in it full force!
I currently have 26 Rhoad Island reds laying daily, UGGGHHHH!!!! I am seeing eggs in my sleep! lol
I hail from the great state of New Hampshire and do not allow chickens to free range, mainly because of predators in my area. A friend of mine decided to build me a chicken coop, Thanks Alex! But............
Not big enough, sigh!
I am currently building a much larger coop, pictures later. I got some great ideas here, such a fantastic resource BYC

I live with my girlfriend and her two children, I have two of my own living here as well, but I guess i cant count because there are 6 kids living here? hmmmm Oh ya! i did only start with 24 chickens but 2 appeared out of nowhere? again the counting thing. I have 3 dogs, ( I think), they love going to the coop with me every morning to check on things. I am looking for a good resource for cartons, they can be expensive. Anyways, lets see, oh hobbies, ummmm got a 28 ft bayliner boat that we try and spend a lot of time on, can be fun. other than the boat and chickens (and cleaning, cooking, yard work, building, working, ect......) is our hobbies. So you all might see me on a bit around BYC seems like a great, fun place to hang out. Thanks for having me!!!!!

Wow! You have a lot going on!

Welcome to the forum. Glad you joined!

If you sell eggs or give them away - ask the folks to please bring back the cartons so you can clean and reuse them. That would cut down on the expense.

Welcome back to chickens! I'm a RIR fan too, our girls have been good egg layers with nice personalities.

It's nice to have you here, make yourself at home!
