New to chicken ownership! Need some advice!!

I will take a video tomorrow when I’m home from work and post it. It’s 10pm here in Jersey they were all asleep when I just went out for the picture lol. Maybe a video will help identify

That could very well be a cockerel, but I'm not familiar with the breed.

What breed are the reds? Hopefully something sexlinked.

The reds were labeled golden comets. And I’m not sure what you mean by sexlinked can you elaborate?

Sexlinked birds are hybrids that can be told apart at hatch. And Golden Comets are an RSL, so if they're all red, you've got girls there.

Looking around in other threads, it seems that "Southern Rambler" may be a hybrid in development out of Blue Banty Farm, which is connected with Freedom Ranger. I actually got my broiler Silkies out of them (they weren't advertised as such though, and soooo many toe deformities). Appears they might be a Silkie x Rustic Rambler or some such hybrid.

Sexlinked male and female chicks are different colors and easy to tell apart when they hatch. A male red sexlink chick would be white.

Just found this in another thread. Good chance it may be the mystic onyx

Yes, I saw that one too. Says they are large. Might be Silkie crossed with Freedom Ranger. Makes some sense with the Southern Ranger name.
