New to chickens! Bumblefoot? Frequency of "issues"?

They do not have any bugs that I can see. My husband and I have both checked them. We are feeding them some kind of chicken feed (17 or 18%?) that was recommended by Fluegel Elevator Feed Store, grit, fruits from the kitchen & of course all the bugs, grubs, worms they find in the yard. I have some organic feed coming from a local farmer but the delivery was delayed so I'm expecting it will be here on Wednesday.

Ha ha! That is hilarious! I too bought used chickens..you just have to check them out well if that is what you choose to do. There are risks involved but I started out that way too.
