New to chickens but already in love

Hi everyone! I moved late 2019, and with the new house came a coop with 8 old chickens (2 barred rocks, 2 wyandottes, 3 brahmas, & a golden comet). I knew nothing about chickens and really had only seen them IRL a handful of times (moved from a big city). Well, I totally fell in love and now here I am with more chicks, a new coop, and an incubator.

I am a special needs cat rescuer. I take mostly cats and kittens with severe injuries & deformities. My personal cat who has a cleft soft palate (pretty much a hole in the back of the throat) loves to baby the chicks!

I found this website by looking up a ton of info on chickens. I look forward to learning a lot here!
