New to Chickens in KY

Hello All, my hubby and I are getting in to chickens. What breeds do best in KY climate? Also Im looking for a very docile breed that you can handle easily since Im new to chickens. Thanks for your help!

Not sure what your climate is like but in the midwest here, I have had success with many varieties. I would highly recommend orpingtons and easter eggers for friendliness!
