New to chickens

:welcome

Hi Victor, nice to have you here! I used to have a flock in FL...yep, the heat & humidity are 2 of the biggest challenges you'll have. Make sure you provide lots of shade, extra water and build your coop with a ton of ventilation.

Best wishes!

Hello, Victor, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I would build an open air coop for Florida weather where the entire side of the coop that is mostly sheltered from the wind is open with no sheathing and covered only in 1/2" hardware cloth and lots of ventilation on the rest of the wall too. The whole setup in deep shade but with power to it so you can run fans. I use large blocks of ice and leave them out in shallow plastic pans during the heat waves in NY but our heat is nothing like yours!
