New to chickens

We have 2 new 16 week old chickens, 1 of them is laying a egg in the mornings. We have bought grower feed and corn. But have been told they should be eating layer pellet?

Yes, if one of them is laying then they should be getting layer pellets.

Thank you, never had chickens before and was worried incase we done any harm to the other chicken that wasn't laying. Lots of horror stories about causing damage to them by feeding layer pellet before 20 weeks.

Layer pellets or crumbles if they are laying eggs
