New To Ducklings!

She's doing worse and I can tell she hasn't eaten much of anything. I don't think she's going to pull through and I don't know what to do. She holds her head up and wheezes like that's the only way she can breathe.

Can you put her in the bath room and run the hot water so she can have the humid air? you know like she is in a box on the floor and your running the shower and steaming up the room with the door closed. also does she have a way to clean out her nares. is their waterer deep enough they can stick their heads in to wash their faces. These suggestions may not help but when stopped up moist warm air helps. Did you try the ACV in their water?

The water is deep enough. She wants nothing to do with it though and she is just... So sad looking. I'm going to try the steam now I suppose. It is just breaking my heart hearing her and seeing her suffer. How long should I do the steam for?

Try for at least 30 min you should be able to tell if it's helping by then just don't let her get chilled. do you have a heater in the bathroom?

You may lose her anyway but at least you will have tried. This could have been from shipping being it's so darn cold to be shipping ducklings right now, she may have gotten chilled.
very sorry it's a helpless feeling.

Helpless indeed. I do have some positive news: my friend who is a vet tech came by and her boss let her fill an antibiotic for me. After one dose and then forcing (Ugh that sounds horrible) her to drink some water, and then putting some VetRx in her nostrils, and a nice long steam session, she is finally able to stop wheezing and is actually preening herself. Next step is to let her rest for the night and pray she pulls through. Tomorrow I will be offering her some scrambled eggs and hopefully her appetite will be back. We are keeping her separated from the others for now until she's all the way better, not just for contagious reasons but to give her a chance to get her strength up. I'll be keeping her in the bathroom for a few days. No heater, but we are making sure it's draft proof. (she is also drinking on her own as I write this while sitting on the side of the bathtub.) keep those fingers crossed for us, I can't tell you how much your words have helped!

That's her finally getting some rest for the first time today!

My little duckling mate had this same problem, i took him to the vets when he was about 2 or 3 weeks old and he had a heart murmur, and his heart was too big for his body. It caused him to pant all the time and look really tired. I got some ducky nurofen (that is obviously not the name of it but it was like panadol for ducks!) and fed it to him twice a day to ease his pain.. I also would dunk his beak in water and hold it there so he would blow bubbles through his bill so he had clear nostrils for easier breathing. Anyway, he is now 10 weeks old and very healthy and learning to fly .
I hope this helps. I got some great help here during that time but I had not heard of anyone else with this type of problem until now.
Ps I went to a bird vet, not a regular one :)

Please take that large bowl of water out and give her a smaller one if she climbs inside and gets soaked she could chill. I am over joyed with the update though.
