New to Ducks....Advice Please....

Question: Do ducks dust bath like chickens or do they just...swim bath...

They prefer to swim. It cleans them AND is very fun for them.

I'd imagine though, if they bond well with chickens they might attempt to dustbathe along side them, or just sit very close by.

In case you didn't know, you have to supervising ducklings as babies if they dont have a mom with them, until they get their feathers. As fuzzies they need their mother to rub the oils on them to make them water proof or they can drown.

Thanks for the advice. They are only two weeks old. They just have a dog water bowl in their pen for dunking their heads and they get supervised pool time at least once a day.
