NEW TO DUCKS

We have the Nuture Right 360 for our duck eggs. We have to leave town for the weekend. If we top off the water before we leave will it be ok until we get back? If not, is there some type of reservoir I can attach to it?

does that turn the eggs? What stage are you at in hatching as in how many days? I know the first couple of weeks are most important to turn. That's a lot of eggs. Does your power go out often? I personally wouldn't leave them but I'm very anal about these sort of things.

How much and how often are you adding water? Whats the humidity of the room the incubators in?

Have you candled them recently? how many days in are you?

Jpat/DuckyDonna,

We just put them in yesterday. The incubator we have turns them and we have been watching it religiously to see how often they are turning. The House has kept at 73 degrees and the incubator is at 99.5/100 @ about 52%. There is still water in the reservoir, I will probably have to add some before we go to bed.

So if the water lasted yesterday, today, and part of tomorow it should be fine for Friday, Saturday, and sunday. It might be dry monday, But even a 24 hour period with only room humidity wont be dangerous, aslong as its once throughout the incubation period

Ive had an incubator shut off completely for an 18 hour period and they all hatched

Alot of folks dont add water, and others watch the aircell develope and add/remove himidity as needed
