New to finches

I just got 2 pair of finches spice and society , from what I understand its hard to tell males from females in both these breeds . Ive done some research and I have 1 society male and 1 spice male . They are the only ones singing, dancing and the society is topping the other society, this hasn't happened yet with the spice finch . How long before I can expect to see eggs ? Also is it normal for all 4 birds to sleep in the same nest ? Thanks for your help.

Being flock birds, there is an instinct that safety is in numbers. That's why they sleep together. Also if they are new to your home, they are still getting used to a new environment.
I'm not a breeder so I can't answer the question on eggs.
