Good morning all! I am very new to world of everything chicken and I am on my first hatching venture. I am at the beginning of day 21 and no signs of pips. I started out with 24 and locked down with 10. I was a little concerned before lockdown that these 10 might have been slow developing after all of the candling videos I have watched. Against my better judgment I locked them down. How long should I wait if they don’t start piping today? I am concerned that with the slower development I might have locked down too soon and none will hatch. They appeared to be 1-2 days development difference from everything I have seen. Any advice or encouragement is greatly welcomed. Thank you 😊

Thank you for your help, they were from a local farmer. I will read that article right now. Does the 24-48 hours start at the end of day 21 or beginning? Thank you again!

Thank you for your help! We are at the beginning of day 22 and still no piping, after reading the article that someone else posted. I know that it is highly possible that they could start hatching at day 23. I am going to candle them today and see how things are progressing I will post what changes I encounter.
