New to quail

Mine mainly lay their eggs in the dust pan.

mine usually lay by the watering hole...but I think it's because that's where they spend most of their time in this heat!

Mine like to lay in any spot where they feel sheltered. One hen prefers to hide out in the coop to lay hers. I usually find a couple in the "quail-holes" that they dig in the corners of their pen, a couple under the ramp that goes up into the coop, and a couple under the rain shelter that covers their dust bath. I have a cement block that I put on its side at the end of the shelter so that they would have a tunnel to jump through, and I have even found eggs inside that.

HI all, I have been surffing around and reading post on quail. I have been think of getting a few. I'am SO green when it comes to quail.
What breed is the best for a newbie?
Do you need a license to raise quail for a few eggs?
Any info would be great, from the quail owners, I find info from ppl that have raised thing by trail and errors give the best info. Thanks all..

The button quail are awesome too, they are more finch like, however, being the tiniest quail in the world. Not really tame, They do come in amazing colors though.
