New to raising baby chicks.

I have rir black rocks golds and a white and black and white speckled rock

These are our girls. They now consist of 4 Barred Rocks and 2 Cuckoo Marans. Unfortunately our city ordinance doesn't allow roosters, so we had to take two of the back because they were males. Sure doesn't take long to get attached to them...it broke my heart. We ended up picking up 2 Cuckoo Marans in their place.

I hope it's not too early to let them out for a bit at this age, but there is constant supervision while they're out.

I have a question. Can chicks from the same clutch be different colors, as if they were crossbred? I have one "barred rock" that looked like the rest of our girls when we bought them, but now looks like a cross between a cuckoo maran and barred rock. We have two cuckoo marans and four barred rocks. She also seems to be the runt of our BRs. Any ideas or facts would be greatly appreciated!
