new to raising chicks could use some advice !

Honestly I think she looks pretty good based off of the pictures. My BO was all fluffy like that when she was a chick, fluffier than my other breeds. I would guess that she may be too warm if the pasty butt keeps coming back. Maybe if you move the light up a bit, maybe like 6 in. further from the brooder, she will still get the warmth but won't be too hot. She sure is cute.

so this is june the one that had/has pasty butt there wasnt anything stuck to her but it just looks bad down there ..did i do something wrong when cleaning her?

Can you see her vent? Is it blocked at all? It sort of looks like some of her down feathers are missing, which is ok. Sometimes the down gets pulled out when cleaning that area, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, as it makes it harder for more poo to stick back there.

Last i checked there wasnt any but she just looks dirty down there..i may have taken some off accidentally when cleaning her..her bottom looks different from the other 2 but she seems healthy

It sounds like she's going to be just fine. My Delaware definitely had a mucky looking bum after she was all cleaned up. It just takes a while for the down to look fluffy again, and for any missing down or feathers to regrow. The fact that she's acting normal is a really good sign. If she had pasty butt, and you didn't clear it correctly, she would have likely already passed away, or at the very least would be acting very sick. This sounds funny but sometimes I would watch until the Delaware would take a good poop, so I was sure she wasn't blocked up.

I found a pic of the Delaware - she's the dirty bum on the bottom right. This was after cleaning her up. I remember having to clean her for almost a week straight, and then the pasty butt totally went away and she fluffed back to normal.
